- The RÖMERTOPF®
must be moistened before every single use. If you
have very little time to spare, it is sufficient to
hold the lid under running water for about 30 seconds.
it´s pores will store sufficient water in this time.
However, ideally the RÖMERTOPF®
should be placed in a basin of water for about 15
minutes before us.
- Before using it for the very
first time, your RÖMERTOPF® needs
a really good soak. Then you should clean
it with a brush to loosen any clay dust particles
which may still be attached as a result of the manufacturing
process.
- Clean your RÖMERTOPF®
with hot water, a few drops of washing up liquid and
a brush. After having used it for about 100 times,
you should boil it in clean water for about 30 minutes.
The pores will then be completely open again, able
to breath and store water as if the dish was brand
new.
When not using your RÖMERTOPF®
, put the lid upside-down in the bottom half and store
the dish in an airy place. Even if you look after
the RÖMERTOPF® with the utmost
care, it will change colour in places or get darker.
This is no disadvantage: indeed, it shows that the
dish is made from a living, natural material.
- When not in use, put the lid upside
down into the bottom half and store the dish in an
airy place.
